    Lost Horizon

Have you ever dreamed of a place
    Far away from it all
Where the air you breathe is soft and clean
And children play in fields of green
And the sound of guns doesn't pound in your ears
Have you ever dreamed of a place
Far away from it all where the winter winds will never blow
And living things have room to grow
And the sound in your ears anymore
Many miles from yesterday before you reach  tomorrow
Where the time is always just today there's a lost horion
There's a lost horion where the sound of guns
    Doesn'pound in your ears anymore
It's only a song sang by xuguanjie, which has nothing to do with the book named Lost Horizon. However , I still copy it here, for it reminding me a lot of what I have read in the book. what's more ,it was filmed with the same name.
Lost Horizon (1937) is a timeless, widely-acclaimed classic - a romantic fantasy and science-fiction adventure film, produced and directed by Frank Capra for Columbia Pictures. The film was faithfully adapted by screenwriter Robert Riskin from James Hilton's best-selling 1933 novel of the same name. The story was inspired by real-life mountaineer George Leigh-Mallory, who was lost during a fatal climb of Mount Everest in 1924

    Plot Summary

This retelling of the classic tale of
    James Hilton's Utopian lost world
plays out uneasily amid musical production
    numbers and Bacharach pop music.
    While escaping war-torn China,
a group of Europeans crash in the Himalayas,
where they are rescued and taken to the
mysterious Valley of the Blue Moon, Shangri-La.
Hidden from the rest of the world,
Shangri-La is a haven of peace and tranquility
    for world-weary diplomat Richard Conway.
    His ambitious brother, George,
sees it as a prison from which he must escape,
even if it means risking his life
and bringing destruction to the ancient
    culture of Shangri-La.
